This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryMay 4, 1962

San Francisco mayor George Christopher declared “Wells Fargo Day” and arrived by stagecoach to the opening of a History Room in bank headquarters at 420 Montgomery Street. Decades later, a Wells Fargo Museum still welcomes visitors at this location.
